The aim of all IB programmes is to develop global citizens who recognize their common humanity and shared guardianship of the planet as well as help to create a better and more peaceful world. At Naisula School, we will strive to exemplify the qualities of the IB learner profile which aim to develop learners who are:

  These are learners who foster curiosity, development of skills for inquiry and research. The learners learn independently and with others while displaying enthusiasm and sustenance of their love of learning throughout life.
• Knowledgeable
  The students will develop and use conceptual understanding while exploring knowledge across a range of disciplines. They will engage with issues and ideas that have local and global significance.
• Thinkers
  They are learners who will use critical and creative thinking skills to analyse and take responsible action on complex problems. They will exercise initiative in making reasoned, ethical decisions.
• Communicators
  IB candidates are students who express themselves confidently and creatively in more than one language and in many ways. They will collaborate effectively and listen carefully to the perspectives of other individuals and groups.  
• Principled
  IB candidates must be individuals of high integrity and honesty as these are fundamental virtues. They will develop a strong sense of fairness, justice and respect for the dignity and rights of people everywhere. The learners in turn take responsibility for their actions and their consequences.
• Open-minded
  Students pursuing the IBDP must develop a critical appreciation of their cultures and personal histories, as well as the values and traditions of others.  They develop a strong sense of seeking and evaluating a range of points of views in order to grow from the experience.
• Caring
  The candidate must show empathy, compassion and respect as well as a commitment to service. In addition, they will make a conscious effort to make a positive difference in the lives of others and in the world around them. 
• Balanced  
  The scholars will demonstrate an understanding of the importance of balancing different aspects of our lives; intellectual, physical, and emotional to achieve well-being for themselves and others. They learn to recognize their interdependence with other people and with the world in which they live.
• Reflective  
  Learners thoughtfully consider the world and their own ideas and experience. They work towards understanding their strengths and weaknesses in order to support their learning and personal development.
• Risk-takers
  IB candidates will approach uncertainty with forethought and determination; they work independently and cooperatively to explore new ideas and innovative strategies. They are resourceful and resilient in the face of challenges and change.
